Visual walkthrough of Slack in progress

Overview

The SecEng Trust Scanner for Slack lets your security and product teams analyze AI language claims without context-switching. Trigger scans via slash command, message shortcut, or the bot — and receive risk assessments directly in a Slack modal or channel message. Whether you're reviewing a vendor pitch or an internal AI announcement, trust issues surface immediately with linked issue creation built in.

Features

  1. 01.

    Slash command scanning

Run `/trustscan` followed by any text to get an instant analysis posted back to you as an ephemeral Slack message.

  2. 02.

    Message shortcut action

Right-click any message to invoke the scanner directly on that content, keeping your workflow in context.

  3. 03.

    Issue creation from results

Flag a problematic finding and create a tracking issue in your connected project management tool without leaving Slack.

  4. 04.

    Thread summarization

Scan entire threads to identify aggregate patterns in how AI or security capabilities are described across a conversation.

  5. 05.

    App Home dashboard

Access your personal scan history, saved results, and workspace-level settings from the dedicated Slack App Home.

Install steps

  1. Step 01

Install from the Slack App Directory or use the Slack app manifest to install to your workspace.

  2. Step 02

Authorize with OAuth 2.0 — no admin approval required for personal use.

  3. Step 03

Paste text into the modal or run the `/trustscan` slash command in any channel.

  4. Step 04

Results appear inline; click 'Create Issue' to escalate directly from the result.

Privacy architecture

On-demand only

Text is sent for scanning only when you explicitly trigger a scan action — a button click, slash command, or message action. Nothing is scanned passively or in the background. The scan payload is ephemeral and not stored.
